Proposition A
The $48 million PROP A provides multipurpose INDOOR FACILITIES at each high school campus for ALL extracurricular student groups including Fine Arts, Athletics and special events.
Birdville ISD will fund these projects WITHIN the existing TAX RATE!
IF YOU ARE OVER 65 and have filed for an exemption, your taxes are frozen, so YOU WON’T BE IMPACTED.
The indoor facilities will include a roof and enclosed walls to PROTECT STUDENTS students from the ever-changing Texas weather.
A 120-yard turf field will be ACCESSIBLE TO ALL students across multiple programs.
Heating systems will ALLOW ACTIVITIES to continue during cold winter months.
Birdville ISD is only ONE OF FOUR districts in North Texas that do not have these facilities for students.
The existing TAX RATE will STAY THE SAME whether voters approve PROP A, or not.

Our Leaders Heard You!
The proposal includes a redesigned, more cost-efficient version of the original proposal with changes based on voter feedback. Our leaders reduced the overall cost yet achieved the same purpose – more opportunities for our students.
Don’t let the required ballot language fool you!
Texas law mandates that all school bond ballots state “THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE,” even if your tax rate will remain the same. The Nov. 5 Birdville ISD bond election WILL NOT INCREASE the existing BISD tax rate.
Hear what community leaders are saying.
If we want to continue to attract new families to our amazing school district, we must offer the same amenities as surrounding districts. As a theatre mom, my students will likely never directly benefit from these facilities, but I fully support the efforts to keep our students safer from the heat, and to ensure their ability to practice under UIL guidelines. I fully endorse Prop A, these facilities are necessary additions for our school district.
— Tami Copeland, Parent
Please join me in supporting Prop A and all of the students of our three high schools in BISD! Our student’s health and safety are of foremost importance as they train and compete with area schools, all of which already have these facilities. This puts our students at a great disadvantage. They deserve better! Say YES to Prop A!
— Mark Wood, RIchland HS CLass ‘73
I support the PROP A Bond to build indoor practice fields at the three Birdville ISD high schools for safety for our students. Sports and Fine Arts will be able to use the facilities and our leaders won't have to worry so much about the hot sun or torrential rains – it just makes sense!
— Pam Horton, Community Leader
Passing BISD Bond Prop A is vital as it offers valuable opportunities for all student groups in the Birdville School District. The indoor facilities will provide designated space for all students and a variety of programs across all school campuses, spanning from elementary to high school. These facilities will be accessible year-round, ensuring a consistent space irrespective of weather conditions.
— Amy Swift, Community Leader
Did you know?
Birdville ISD students do not have access to multipurpose indoor facilities, unlike the students in 57 other area school districts in north Texas, placing our students at a disadvantage. Keep our students performing at a high level!
